ResponderEliminarRead the book!
Hahaha if i had the time, totally. But my friend told me it was pretty accurate for the moment being.
ResponderEliminarLame.
ResponderEliminari wouldn't discard a movie because it isn't an exact version of a book, it's not supposto be the same, i don't think the movies that bad, i'am sure the book is good, but i ask you, how many will read the book if i post it on my blog?
ResponderEliminarBooks are always better than the movie. Mainly because movies are an interpretation of the book and therefore the authors intended message or meaning can be skewd or misinterpreted.
ResponderEliminarI like nani, hate it when people say that books are better than the movie. A movie is not supposto be like the book, it is an entire different media of art and therfore cannot and should not be compared. Nevertheless in this case the movie as an art form fails because it is (from what ive been told) very very very similar to the book, and its about getting the essence of the prophecy.
ResponderEliminarYet we spend our lives comparing things... If we cannot compare books and movies, are you saying that we can only compare things that are in the same category - eg. this book to this book? However, what if one book is Sci Fi and the other is Mystery? Perhaps we only compare SciFi books then - but what if one is set in the future and one in the past? Ok then, both in the future - but one is set on Earth and one on a distant planet? We follow this reasoning and suddenly we have only one category - the thing itself, and all by itself!
ResponderEliminarThats a great point mr david! nevertheless when people compare a movie to a book, usually they end up concluding that the movie was not as good as the book because it isnt exactly word by word the book, or exactly what they pictured in their minds when they read it, and a movie's purpose is not to be an identical visual of a book, but rather an art form that took inspiration or a base off of a book and interpreted it, so, sure you can compare the similarities and contrasts of a movie to a book, you can compare technical and emotional details, but concluding that a movie is not as good as a book because it simply isnt the book, doesnt make sense.
ResponderEliminarWell, then tackle the question from another view - why is it that people say, "the book aint as good as the movie?"
